Why keep a cellar book
It is easy to forget what a cellar holds, even a small one. A cellar book stops you opening too early a bottle made for keeping, or too late one that should have been drunk young, and helps you find in an instant what suits the meal.
Filling in the drinking window
When to drink a wine depends on the cuvée, the vintage and the cellar conditions. Rely on the wine’s product page or the estate’s advice: Négrette reds are happily drunk young, for their fruit, while more structured blends keep longer.
Your questions
Frequently asked questions
Is my data sent to the estate?
No. The cellar book is saved in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent; remember to download it as a CSV to keep a copy elsewhere.
Can I add wines from other estates?
Yes. Our wine names are suggested to save time, but any wine can be added.
What happens if I switch browsers?
The cellar book does not follow you: it stays in the browser where it was created. The CSV file lets you keep it and open it in a spreadsheet.
